Residential Movers for Homes, Apartments & Condos

Across town or across the state line: a trained crew, padded furniture, protected floors, and every piece placed in the room you choose.

Local moves are our everyday

Your Home, Moved the Way You’d Do It

Most of our days are spent moving families around Toledo, Sylvania, Maumee, Perrysburg, Temperance and the towns in between. We have our own trucks and crews trained by the owner, and we show up ready to work. You get a courtesy call when the crew is on the way, and they start as soon as the paperwork is signed.

Furniture is wrapped in moving pads (and shrink wrap where it helps), strapped in the truck and loaded tight. Floors get canvas runners and door frames get jamb pads. At the new place we put the beds back together and set things where you want them, not where they land.

Stairwells, Elevators & Tight Turns

Apartment moves look small until you’re carrying a sleeper sofa up three flights and around a landing. Third-floor walk-ups, narrow hallways, shared elevators and parking lots with one loading spot are a normal day for our crews.

  • Check your building’s rules for move times, elevator reservations and where a truck can park, and tell us when you book.
  • Measure the tricky pieces (sectionals, box springs, big dressers) against doorways and stair turns. We’ll tell you what needs to come apart.
  • Reserve the elevator for both ends if the buildings let you. It speeds everything up.

“They were extremely quick even with us moving to a third floor place.” Lindsey L., Google review

How Big Is Your Move?

Local moves are charged by the hour, based on the crew and trucks your home needs. We’ll recommend the right size in your free estimate.

Studios to 2 bedrooms

Usually a two-mover crew and one truck, which is what we send to most homes this size.

3 to 4 bedrooms

Three or four movers, sometimes a second truck. Packing help the day before keeps moving day short.

Big homes & full houses

Crews of five and up (we’ve sent as many as eight) plus extra trucks. One customer’s 6-bedroom house “fit perfectly into the truck.”

What Families Say After Moving Day

I had a hard time trying to find a local mover in Maumee, Ohio to assist with moving my daughter to Kalamazoo, Michigan… From Josh in the main office that booked the appointment to Nick and Brad the movers, they did a great job to get it all done in a short time along with wrapping everything.

Brent H.Google review · Maumee, OH to Kalamazoo, MI

Used Fox to move from Maumee to Sylvania. Chad, Nick, and Corey were great to work with. Nice, professional, and hardworking. They were also very flexible with what we wanted.

Austin W.Google review · Maumee to Sylvania

Arrived early and did an excellent job overall. Friendly, respectful, efficient. Can't recommend highly enough.

Edward B.HireAHelper review · Maumee, OH

The workers were friendly, worked very hard, and did an excellent job. Would definitely use again.

Donna S.HireAHelper review · Perrysburg, OH

Nick and Jay did an awesome job!! They were on time, fast, friendly, and very helpful.

Brooke C.HireAHelper review · Temperance, MI

They were scheduled short notice, they came and worked hard! They called ahead on their way. The receptionists we spoke with on the phone making the order were efficient and kind as well.

Before we arrive

Get Ready for Moving Day

  • Disconnect appliances. We can move them, but we can’t disconnect or reconnect gas, electric or water lines.
  • Take down wall-mounted TVs and speakers and unplug electronics.
  • Empty breakables from dressers. Clothes can usually stay in standard dressers; jewelry, books and anything heavy or fragile should come out.
  • Keep valuables with you: documents, medications, jewelry, firearms, pets and anything you can’t replace.
  • Label boxes by room on the top and the side. It makes unloading much faster.

Residential moving questions

Home Moving FAQ

What time does the crew arrive?

We book morning and afternoon arrival windows, and the crew gives you a courtesy call when they’re on the way. If the schedule allows, we can sometimes do same-day appointments too.

Do you move across the Ohio–Michigan line?

All the time. Our shop is a few minutes from the state line, and moves between Ohio and Michigan run under our federal interstate authority (USDOT 1271511, MC-496640).

What if it rains or snows on moving day?

We move in almost any weather and protect your things and your floors as we go. In a downpour the crew may pause until it passes, and you’re never billed for breaks. If ice makes roads unsafe, we may push a morning start back. If you’d rather change the date because of weather, just call.
